At a recent conference of the Creative Union of Journalists, a code of ethics for journalists was approved.
This code defines the moral and ethical guidelines that journalists and media workers must follow in carrying out their professional duties, namely:
Media workers and journalists in particular must be confident that the information they provide is accurate. In cases when a journalist contributes to disseminating inaccurate information, he/she should involve the corresponding bodies to settle the conflict
The journalist is obliged to keep professional secrets about the source of confidential information.
The journalist and the mass media should not allow national, religious or racial discrimination of nations and nationalities
A Public Council on Mass Media, consisting of 7 members, will be established for monitoring purposes. Decisions of the Public Council are of recommendatory nature and shall not be considered as grounds for administrative or criminal responsibility
